The only thing that could be done is changing the death animation for 'teleport' animations.
But who cares anyways?

As for the death animation, big deal. Doing the /resign thing is voluntarily being defeated anyways.

A good guideline of etiquette to add is that if someone has to go afk, they go ahead and type /resign. That way if the team has to resign, then can do so and not have to wait for the person to come back.
Also it would be nice if the party list shows who resigned and who hasn't. I know you can look in the chat window but it can be a hassle with other text in the way. Especially if it's an elite mission party of 12 people. Comparing the names in the chat box and the names on the party list can be confusing because the order is always different. Same with counting the 1's people type indicating they're ready to start a mission. Would be nice if there's some on/off switch on the party list simply for a visual for this purpose.
Also let's say there's a cutscene in the middle of the mission. I wish it could be programmed so that anyone who skips will be taken back to his/her character right away and not have to wait on the others. There's always someone who doesn't skip the scene. Often it's the party leader who just wants to see his/her character star in the cutscene and maybe get some screen shots. The cutscene that starts each alliance battle works like this. When you skip, you can move your character right away while waiting on the timer.
And for cutscenes that conclude missions, well let's say you skip but someone hasn't. There should be an Exit button so you can choose to exit the party and appear alone at the next outpost. If others want to do the same, they can do so and rejoin you. And whoever is watching the damn thing can just go ahead and do so.
One of the reasons why I stopped ferrying people to the Consulate Docks for free is because I keep getting someone who won't skip the cutscene. It may be someone planted by those who charge money in order to keep me stalled away while they look for others to pay them. Whatever the case, I don't care, I won't sit through that one ever again.
And for mission runners who request people to skip the scene, I respect their choice to exit the whole thing if someone doesn't skip(unless he/she was paid ahead of time).

The idea is a good one as it saves a great deal of party time.
Joe Black: Everyone resign.
Tidy Mouse: I'm survivor.
Party observes location at far end of falls, seven, "ughs" written or not.
Party all looks at map.
Joe Black: Map to Vent 3.
Tidy Mouse: Map to Vent?
Big Fist: Aurora.
Runninnn Fuul: Where's Hammer Wench?
Tanks Alot: Back - um - what are we doin?
Hammer Wench << Hey Joe, I'm in Quarrel Falls. Where is everyone?>>
Yeah, I like the idea of a return function much better than a resign function.

That "survivor" needs their own emote: /failure
Resigning does not, and had never, caused a death. If someone going for the survivor title is too dumb to know this, maybe they aren't worth having on the team in the first place. Anyone with half a brain will do at least some research before going for a title like that.

The ability to be able to map travel with a party if you are the leader without breaking up the party, but giving individual member of the party to not travel would have been good. The lack of this facility together with the stupid Kamadan 4 in a party and the Lions Arch 6 in a party restrictions only serve to illustrate the majority of the dumb arse responses to this thread.

Because if you are playing with a party who as example just vanquished an area and wants to vanquish another, /resign brings you back to town without any one dropping out of the party.
That way you all stay in group, can sell stuff to the merchants, put stuff in your storage, and still be in your group ready to let the leader map travel you to the next spot.
/notsigned
I think the /resign option has some sense of humor.

U make a thread with a bad idea, then majority disagree with your idea. You call them dumb arses, nice.
